When a brand is strong enough to disappear

Nuggets - Mc Donald

In New Zealand, McDonald's has done something very few brands can afford: remove everything from its ads.

No logo.
No golden arches.
No product visuals.

Just a word on a billboard: “fries”, “cheeseburger”, “sundae.”
And the brand’s colors.

Created by McCann New Zealand, the campaign titled “You know where” relies on one powerful idea: collective memory.

And it works. People instantly know which brand is behind the message.

In a landscape saturated with images and visual noise, the campaign does the opposite: it strips everything away. The result is simple, bold, and memorable.

A reminder that sometimes the boldest creative move is to say less - when your brand is strong enough.

The ultimate luxury in advertising: being recognizable even when you’re invisible.

Bravo!
